How to Remove Pro PC Cleaner?
Pro PC Cleaner is a registry cleaner that is commonly included in software packages. It searches the Windows Registry and offers to delete redundant values, such as entries generated by no longer installed programme and other unwanted values, ostensibly to reduce the size of the registry database and boost machine performance.
Pro PC Cleaner is a potentially unwanted programme because of its disruptive behavior, which involves dubious installation methods and frequent pop-ups and alerts (PUP). The installation of Pro PC Cleaner is shown in the third dialogue window during the installation of another software in this case, with the ‘Accept' button located in such a way that it is easy to accidentally press.
Pro PC Cleaner starts a scan on the user's device without any user-directed prompt as soon as it is enabled alongside the original programme the user desired:
After the check, the software shows an alert (complete with a blinking warning sign!) that the device has been compromised, in an effort to scare the user into registering and buying the full version of the product.
When you click the Clean Now button, a dialogue box appears, demanding that you "fix the identified problems" and saying that they are of "high cleaning urgency," as well as registering the programme and supplying a licence key:
When you click Register Now, a page appears telling the user to "Register Pro PC Cleaner below to correct these potential Windows registry errors and instantly speed up your PC."
The customer is given a discount on the Pro edition of Pro PC Cleaner once they supply their email address, with a coupon that expires on the same day as the initial installation. Also, take note of the following subtraction error in the discount:
Without the user's awareness, Pro PC Cleaner also schedules two tasks in the Windows task scheduler:
The first task above shows a daily popup window above the task bar on a daily basis:
When a new user logs into the device, the second scheduled activity initiates a new search.
