How to delete temporary files on Windows 10?

Exactly as the name says on the tin is temporary files. They are used by apps and your operating system (OS) to create temporary backups or monitor user sessions. There are various types of temp files, such as leftover files from the new update of the OS, error reports, installation files, updates, files in your bin, temporary internet files such as cache and cookie files, and backups generated by currently running apps.

Typically, these files are immediately deleted, but that's not always the case. Your computer will hold temporary files if your session ends suddenly, assuming that you will use them in the future. Temp files are typically not harmful (unless you have inadvertently downloaded malware and kept it in your download folder), but your storage space is always piling up and strangling.
